Making sure users get checklist PDF reports in their preferred language

Administrators can specify the ‘Default Language’ of a Certainty user and ensure that checklist report PDFs they download in the app or receive through automated Certainty checklist notifications, will be delivered to them in their language.

To set a users default language for PDF reports:

  1. Go to 'Administration – Users – Users'.
  2. Select the user in the table and select 'Edit' in the 'Options' menu on the right side of the row to open the users record.
  3. In the 'Default language' field, select the right language.
  4. Click 'Save'.

If translations are linked to a checklist, then the PDF checklist report you can download in the Mobile App and Admin Portal will automatically be translated to the default language of the device of the user downloading the PDF. If a PDF checklist report is included in any Certainty checklist notifications sent to a user, the PDF report will automatically be translated to their default language as selected in their user profile.

Notes

  • The ‘Default Language’ setting in 'Users' that determine the language of PDF reports is not the same as the 'Language setting' in the users ‘Account Settings’ in the top right corner of their screen. The user can still separately set their UI to a different language.
